My life is filled with all things boys, and I do love my boys, with all the Lego’s, trucks and running around that goes on in my house. So when I get the chance to photograph girls, I love it! To be honest, girls are just different, and that is a wonderful thing. It is so much fun to watch little girls twirl around and pick flowers to put in their hair. Girls have such cute clothes and accessories, and when you have boys, well it’s just not the same. I am so happy I got to hang with these girls to get my girly fix, and the two of them kept me moving and laughing the whole time. They were also such troopers. It was well over 90 degrees that morning, with wickedly high humidity, and they still rocked it. Thank you Wisconsin!

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012I have so many cute sessions to share with everyone… but the balancing act of being a photographer, a mother, a wife and a friend, along with trying to find a moment to myself ( the bathroom doesn’t count ) is much harder then I could have imagined. As so many people face these same challenges in life, I take comfort in the fact that I am not alone. Sometimes things get pushed to the side; important things. Every once in awhile we need to stop and look around, take notice and be present, because it is all of these little moments in life that make us fuller. Little Miss S was so much fun to watch as she explored the world around her. I was so honored to be able to capture her curiosity for her amazing parents.
Portland Oregon Modern Family Photographer {Summertime}
Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011You know you are really behind on posts when you still need to show sessions from the summer. I can’t skip anything simply because life goes so fast! Here we are in November, but my heart is still in July even if my toes are in socks instead of flip flops. I love photographing families. It is so much fun getting all the personalities together and convincing Dads that its not so bad, or dare I say fun. Family portraits should be fun, because if they are not it shows. It’s time to embrace family portrait day and make it about your family, and have a great time doing it!
A Daisy in the park
Friday, September 9th, 2011I photographed this little flower when she was a newborn and I received the honor again for her 7 month pictures. Every model has their signature look, and Daisy has cornered the market on the oh so cute smile with tongue. There is nothing better then watching a baby grow up and learn new “tricks”. She was ready to show off her soccer skills in her straight from Seaham, England soccer kit. I think we might have a little soccer star on our hands, or at least a fan from birth.
Happy Birthday Little O
Saturday, September 3rd, 2011I thought it was only fitting for my first post that we would have a look at Mr. O’s First Birthday pictures. Turning one is a big deal and he is no exception. As we tromped around the park, he took the lead and I followed, ready to capture his antics. When it came to the cupcake pictures, he was ready and nothing could stop him from sampling that frosting. Sorry Mama, he was fast! There is nothing better then capturing all the looks and things a newly crowned 1 year old can do.
