I was so excited last summer when I went back to Wisconsin and got to photograph one of my dearest family friends. It was wonderful to meet this handsome little guy and wander around the gardens with an awesome family. I love that I am able to know people over the course of a lifetime.
I have so many cute sessions to share with everyone… but the balancing act of being a photographer, a mother, a wife and a friend, along with trying to find a moment to myself ( the bathroom doesn’t count ) is much harder then I could have imagined. As so many people face these same challenges in life, I take comfort in the fact that I am not alone. Sometimes things get pushed to the side; important things. Every once in awhile we need to stop and look around, take notice and be present, because it is all of these little moments in life that make us fuller. Little Miss S was so much fun to watch as she explored the world around her. I was so honored to be able to capture her curiosity for her amazing parents.
The toddler years are full of curiosity, energy and “look what I can do now” moments. That is why they are so fun to photograph, especially in their natural habitat. Capturing those slice of life moments truly shows who this little being is. It’s wonderful to have an in home session anytime of year, but when the weather is not so nice, it is perfect. As we all know, the weather in Oregon is perfect all the time.
